How can I pitch my release for Spotify, Amazon and recordJet playlists?

You can pitch your music via your Spotify for Artist account.

Requirements:

• Your artist profile must be verified on Spotify for Artists

• new (previously unreleased) music

• one track per release (single, EP or album)

• at least 7 days before its release date

If you meet the requirements, go to Spotify for Artists, navigate to ‘Music’ > ‘Upcoming’, select the track you want, and choose ‘Pitch a song to our editors’ or ‘Suggest for playlists’.

Provide the following informations:

• correct genre and up to three subgenres

• language of the release

• optional: musical cultures, moods and instruments

• city with which you identify yourself and the song

• story behind the song

Once you’ve submitted your pitch, you can make changes to your song suggestion right up until the day of release. Check the Playlists tab in Spotify for Artists regularly. If your music is featured in a playlist, you’ll find a notification and detailed statistics there

You can pitch your music via the Amazon Music for Artists app.

Requirements:

• your artist profile is verified on Amazon Music for Artists

• new (previously unreleased) music

• one song per release (single, EP or album)

• up to 14 days after the release date

Once you have checked the requirements, go to ‘New Releases’ in the Amazon Music for Artists app and select the track.

Provide the following informations:

• Relevant genre

• Up to three descriptive moods

• Information about the song, the artist and your marketing plans – from social media to PR

• Target audience description

• Up to three similar artists

• List of contributors
