Performance Royalties

Performance royalties are royalties paid to songwriters and music publishers when their music is publicly performed or broadcasted.

This includes a variety of scenarios, such as:

Radio and TV broadcasts: When a song is played on the radio or television.

Live performances: When a song is performed live at concerts, clubs, or other venues.

Streaming services: When a song is streamed on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.

These royalties are collected by collecting societies such as GEMA in Germany or ASCAP and BMI in the USA and distributed to the rights holders.
