To ensure that other contributors are properly recognised in the credits alongside artists and features, there is the option of noting them in their respective roles.
In future, digital stores (especially Apple) will attach more and more importance to credits that are as detailed as possible.
The list of contributors is somewhat hidden in the tracklist of your release:
Edit > Additional information > Further collaborators
Here it is possible and desired to enter e.g. the individual members of a band with their corresponding function.
But also the accurate roles or instruments of artists and features can be listed in this section, such as singer, vocals, chorus, solo, rap, background vocals or similar.
First and last names should preferably be entered here.
Important: As Apple Music displays these contributors in a separate category, it is mandatory to enter at least one other contributor in this section.
If there are no other contributors, please enter the artist again under ‘Vocals’ or 'Singer', and for instrumentals, e.g. under ‘Other Instrument’ or ‘Beats’.
